Portal To Africa started off as one of those discussions you have whenever you're bored and trying to make conversation nonetheless. It sort of went like, "why not build an online information platform for the African Continent to create a more centralised aggregation point for Information about Africa and services that Africans might find useful". After weeks of planning and pondering, Portal To Africa was born.

Its interesting how we only started off with an Online Directory and can now boast of a News Centre, Discussion Board and a blogging platform, with so much more in the pipeline. We sometimes find it hard to keep track of ourselves with all the ideas bouncing back and forth as to what we could do or what we should be doing.

As we're looking to build this information platform for Africans and other interested parties, we always welcome any suggestions and/or contributions that come our way. We can't promise that we'll implement every feature request that comes our way, but we'll try as hard as possible to strike a balance.
